{# Locked route. About the route

This challenging route covers 63km with +1714m of vertical climbing. Starting from Cycl'in Pyrénées in Argelès-Gazost, the route begins with the climb to Vallée du Tech (1465m) via Arrens-Marsous. Finally, you'll tackle Lac d'Estaing (1184m) via Estaing before returning to Cycl'in Pyrénées in Argelès-Gazost to complete the route.

Depart: Cycl'in Pyrénées

Rolling out of Cycl'in, you'll follow the signs for Saint-Savin at the roundabout in front of the store.

Climbing out of Argeles, you'll soon arrive at one of the most beautiful villages in the valley, if not the region.

Past the medivel Abbaye de Saint-Savin, you'll find the well-preserved town square opens out with views towards Hautacam and a great cafe for a mid-ride stop, Bistrot de l'Abbaye.

Saint-Savin
LOCAL TIP: Whenever you're heading up the Val d'Azun, take the quiet road via Saint-Savin / Arcizans-Avant instead of the busy and dangerous D918 via Arras-en-Lavedan. This is where all the locals ride in warmer months.
Arcizans-Avant
Beyond Saint-Savin, you'll be on a much quieter road with great views of Val d'Azun. While it is a climb to get you up the valley, there are some flat and downhill stretches to catch your breath. Follow the D13 until you reach the bridge to Bun.
