Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 28, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using the Colpasso website and related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. About Colpasso

Colpasso provides curated Pyrenees cycling route information for riders and participating retailers in the Hautes-Pyrénées. The Service includes route and climb guides, maps, elevation profiles, GPX files, and weatherproof route stickers sold through participating local businesses.

Colpasso is built and maintained locally in the Hautes-Pyrénées. Route information is verified and updated throughout the season, but conditions on the road can change quickly.

3. How the Service works

  • Route and climb information on the website is free to browse.
  • Premium route stickers are purchased in person from participating retailers (bike shops, cafés, hotels, and other cycling-friendly businesses).
  • Each sticker includes a QR code. Scanning the code and registering your email unlocks the GPX file and mobile-friendly route information for that route.
  • No app or subscription is required to access unlocked route content.
  • Participating retailers may use a separate dashboard to order sticker stock and manage their account.

4. Purchases and route access

Sticker purchases are made directly with the retailer that sells them. Colpasso is not a party to that in-store sale unless stated otherwise at the point of purchase.

When you register a sticker or request route access, you must provide a valid email address. Access links and route information are sent to that address. You are responsible for keeping your email secure and for using the same email you gave the retailer when unlocking a route.

Digital route access is personal to you. GPX files and route content unlocked through Colpasso may not be copied, shared, resold, or redistributed except as allowed by these terms.

5. Retailer accounts

Businesses approved as Colpasso retailers receive access to retailer tools, including sticker ordering and account management. Retailers must provide accurate business information, keep login details secure, and use the Service only for legitimate retail purposes connected to Colpasso routes.

We may suspend or terminate retailer access if an account is misused, if payment terms are not met, or if activity could harm cyclists, other retailers, or the Colpasso brand.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Service — including text, graphics, logos, route data, maps, climb profiles, sticker artwork, and software — is owned by Colpasso or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, publish, scrape, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Service content without our prior written permission, except for personal navigation use of routes you have legitimately unlocked.

7. Route information and safety

Cycling is an activity that carries inherent risk. Route information — including GPX tracks, maps, gradients, difficulty ratings, points of interest, and road status — is provided for planning and navigation only.

You acknowledge that:

  • You ride at your own risk and must judge whether a route suits your ability, equipment, and conditions on the day.
  • Road surfaces, traffic, weather, closures, and local regulations can change without notice.
  • You must comply with traffic laws and ride responsibly.
  • You should carry appropriate safety equipment, food, water, and communication tools.

Colpasso does not guarantee that any route is safe, open, accurate, or suitable for your purposes. We are not liable for accidents, injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of route information.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use the Service in breach of applicable law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, routes, APIs, or systems.
  • Upload malicious code or interfere with the operation of the Service.
  • Use automated tools to harvest data or bypass access controls without permission.
  • Redistribute, resell, or publicly share unlocked GPX files or premium route content.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Colpasso disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Colpasso shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Colpasso for the relevant route or product in the twelve months before the claim arose, or €50 if no such payment was made.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Colpasso from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, including retailer accounts or unlocked route access, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or if continued access could harm users, partners, or the Service.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the revised terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute arising from them or from use of the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your country of residence.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms can be directed via our About Colpasso page. Retailers interested in joining the network can register their interest.
